I logged into my Pownce account for 5 minutes after I got it, and not since, lol.

There’s no API for pownce, yet.  It doesn’t seem to be too high on their “to-do” list, either… which is a shame.

They wont release an API until they’ve made enough cash off their text ads. Once an API is out, you wont have to rely on their application. I wouldn’t be surprised if they never release an API.

Good point, Shawny.  I hadn’t thought of that since I hardly open the app to notice the ads.

Pownce: twitter with cooler jeans to sit around and do nothing in.

A Pownce Plugin was released on WP two weeks ago.

That WordPress plugin is only pulling and displaying info from your public RSS feed on Pownce, Betty.  You could easily do the same with EE’s Magpie or FeedGrab plugins.

    Nothing really special there.  😉

Instead of WP users using one RSS plugin, they choose to make dozens of one-trick pony plugins. Silly, really.

confused as to the purpose of pownce. from the description on its website, it just sounds like glorified email / less feature-filled social networking site?
