I have to create a long list of pages with different categories and dont know what is the smartest way to do that.

I must create a list of our birds living in Finland and there are hundreds of them!
They are grouped and this makes me nuts. How to make this huge list smart? There are pictures also and a map where they are seen in our country. Also what they eat etc.

there is 1 “headgroup” and under it is also groups.
I have to create these “headgroups” 20. And under those i have to make different amount of sub-groups depending how much each sub-groups each “headgroup” has! And then there is the pages what finally shows a picture of a bird with the data!

Hope my question makes sense and i really hope someone to answer this, thank you!

It sounds pretty straightforward, just alot of content entry.

One weblog, custom fields to hold the content, and one really big category group - possibly with custom fields of it’s own.  One entry per bird, assigned into the right category.

You might peruse some of the category plug-ins to make navigation easier, but from the content side it sounds big but simple.
