I just got the forum running and spent a couple hour looking for resource postings, only to find that all my posts are nothing but:

    1

    HUH?

It’s not working this way here, so what’s wrong?  I think that’s for all posts with links.  And they looked perfect in preview.

Well, it doesn’t have anything to do with the URL.  I can’t post anything, aside from the subject, I only get “1” regardless of what I try to post.

    It did work fine earlier.

What version/build of both EE and the Forum are you running?  You’ll definitely want to be on the latest versions of each.  Upgrading one and not the other could cause issues.

Other than that… Any extension for the forum?  Might be something there.  My next guess would be some odd server interaction with the xss_clean function- but that’s a guess at this point.  Make sure you’re running the very latest on both forum and EE.  After that- I may ask for superadmin access- I’d like to take a closer look at what’s going on.  If that’s possible- pm me the info- cp url, username and password.

You will need to make sure that both your forum and your primary EE install are on build 20070626 or later.  This is occurring due to some changes made in the base application’s XSS removal, that required a small tweak to the forum code for it to work with the modifications.

    EE build:  20070627

Either Derek made a typo or I’m 10000 builds in the future, I’m guessing I’m ok with EE.

The forum is Version 2.0.0 (20070622), downloaded on 6/28 (both on the same day), I’ll look for a newer version.

Yes, sorry, I hit a 6 instead of a seven. 20070626 of the Discussion Forum module will fix you right up.

    Yup, that fixed it, thanks.

BTW, 2.0 looks great and I installed the forum for the first time, real nice how the admin functions for moving / editing posts are right there, idiot proof.
