    Two questions:
    1. If a user chooses a forum theme, where is that stored, in their cookie or as part of their profile?
    2. Can I turn off the ability to choose a theme and force the default, even if it is written in their cookie?

I deleted some themes after the upgrade and the forum pages are having a hard time loading while looking for them.

I want to make them go away.

Hi, Connie, you can remove the ability by removing the drop-down from the templates. It does appear the theme is in the cookie, as I changed to the Shares theme, disabled cookies, and was back on the default theme.  I believe (though I haven’t tested this) that if you delete the theme from the folder, that it’ll force them back to the forum’s default, but that doesn’t seem to be happening for you, which is a bit curious.

Thanks, Lisa.  It is all very confusing and complicated, but we suspect the error was not what we thought it was.  The memory allocation on the server was too low, the inability to find the template was causing the page to hang (taking more memory). Basically, the system couldn’t finish to reset the template, ‘coz it couldn’t find it, but the remedy to fix it was also the problem.

    PHEW!  Hope that makes sense.

    Error logs are your friend.

I am happy you got it all sorted out, Connie!  Yes, error logs can be invaluable =)
