My members could create categories before the upgrade.

Currently, if I go to the following:

Site > Admim > Members & Groups > Member Groups > Edit ‘Members’ group > Weblog Posting Privileges

Yes is selected for “Can edit and add new categories”

However, when the user is logged in and is publishing an entry and selects Categories, and goes to add a category by clicking one of the category trees below the filed housing all the categories, he/she gets the message:

You are not authorized to access this page

Category groups now have their own discrete permissions.  Check out my screenshot.

In my installation, the ‘Members’ group have the privileges to ‘edit’ and ‘delete’ categories.  Any other possible solutions?

Did you head to the breadcrumb in that Screenshot?  Admin -> Weblog Administration -> Category Management -> edit your category group. Make sure member groups are appropriately selected. =)

If you like Subarus, have you seen the new Impreza?  Thoughts?  Which models interest you?

    Glad you got it working.

I own a 2005 Impreza now, and I love it.  Had a Liberty (Australia model) before, loved it.  I haven’t looked at the new ones because I’m too busy trying to figure out where I’m going, but I’ll need a car when I get there, so I will be… I just want a hybrid Subaru.

Anyway, this is off-topic.  We can discuss it privately or in the lounge. =)
