    I didn’t get contacted - so I can only assume that I wasn’t one of them 😉

    Congrats to the winners!  😊

And our first winner is one Elwin Zuiderveld, aka Cocoaholic, who completed the DevBlog Code in a breath taking 3.5 hours after it was posted.  Our random winner was Mr. Mike Kroll, aka lavalamp, who also happens to be having his birthday today.  They both opted for a Commercial license of the Multiple Site Manager for what will hopefully be fun and profit.

For those that are curious, to solve the DevBlog Code Mark 2, simply reverse the string.  Break it into chunks of two.  Convert those chunks from hexdecimal to ASCII characters.  Reverse the text and your result will be the following:

    Under bare Ben Bulben's head
In Drumcliff churchyard Yeats is laid.
    An ancestor was rector there
Long years ago, a church stands near,
By the road an ancient cross.

    No marble, no conventional phrase;
On limestone quarried near the spot
By his command these words are cut:
    Cast a cold eye
    On life, on death.
    Horseman, pass by!

No one does it like Yeats.

So, how many were there? Definitely easier than the last time, by the way, and congrats to the winners.

Eight that met the first cut and about half a dozen who emailed me after the cut off point.  So, I guess about fourteen total.  I suspect this one was just a bit too easy, so expect the next one to be a far bit more difficult.  Perhaps with a bigger prize though.

    Fourteen? wow!
Oh well, I still feel a bit special 😉

Don’t know about you guys, but I’m already looking forward to that next contest…

    Congrats, lavalamp!

Okay. When are you having a contest for those of us with no discernible skills of any kind? Design, programming or otherwise.

I mean, I can barely even type this message. What hope do I have of winning some swag when I can barely even spell PHP?

And Photoshop? Heck, I’m banned from drug stores in three states for crashing the Kodak Picture Maker machines.

Seriously, there are two kinds of people in this business. Rick and Paul, and the people who depend on Rick and Paul to make them look Brilliant.

Don’t get me wrong. Thanks to Rick and Paul, I eat three squares a day and get 8 hours of sleep most nights. If I actually WERE Rick and Paul, I would consume only untold quantities of Red Bull and get 8 hours of sleep a YEAR.

Hmm… $199 seems like a pretty good deal to me…

    Carry on!

The next contest should be right up your alley!  I’ll be holding a contest to see who can send me the most chocolate.  mmm…chocolate…
