Have a look at this page...

The 6 thumbnails are a list of categories from a weblog called products. Click on 1 and it leads to a template that lists the entries from the chosen category and then to a detail template. All work exactly the same

Now my client has decided now that FABRICS, WALLPAPERS and TRIMMINGS will work as they do now but FURNITURE and CARPETS will need a seperate set of custom fields and PAINTS will also be different.

So I think I’m just going to create seperate weblogs for each category (FABRIC, WALLPAPER etc) instead of categories so I can customise their needs better.

Problem is all the entries belong to the same weblog in different categories so I need to move the entries from the PRODUCTS weblog in the FABRICS category TO a new weblog called PRODUCTS_FABRICS and entries from PRODUCTS in the WALLPAPERS category to a new weblog called PRODUCTS_WALLPAPER

I hear that such witchcraft can be achieved with a SQL Query but that means nothing to me! I don’t know Sql at all.

What do you fine folks recommend? Or can someone help?

    Thankyou

According to the changelog for the new EE 1.6, Category Custom Fields now exist.

    Hope this helps!

Hmm cool! Not sure if that will do for this though. While I’m here is there a way of mass changing the weblog entries belong to? I’m having to click in and change them all manually at the moment!
