The manual mentions the “board=” parameter for the forum tag - where can I find more details about the parameterization of the forum tag? Or is that it? I presume this refers to the {exp:forum} tag?
This is an archived forum and the content is probably no longer relevant, but is provided here for posterity.
The active forums are here.

Man- they need to stop adding new features, because it’s getting hard for me to keep up! Yep- you’d use it if you run the forum through the standard templates using:
{exp:forum board="cooking"}
on a different template use:
{exp:forum board="books"}Though I’m not a big fan of running the forums through the regular templates- and haven’t tested this one. But yep- basically gives you multiple ‘forums’ with different urls and different categories on the different urls. Whether you run them via the standard templates or the standard way.
That make sense?

Note that it can also be used on the recent topic titles tag.

I love it when I get my question answered without having to ask it.
You may want to update the docs to include this wonderful new parameter.
