    Hey Folks,

Has anyone ever modified the Control Panel so that a column listing the last updated date can be displayed and (ideally) have the entries sorted by last updated?

I’ve got a site wherein we’re publishing out entries for each page of the site, so the entry titles never really change, but the content does. Therefore, the creation date of the entry isn’t important at all—the last date an entry was modified is. Unfortunately—insofar as I can tell—there’s no way to really display this information.

Any input/ideas/recommendations/how-tos would be much appreciated on the subject.

    Thanks,

    Anthony

When I’ve needed to do this in the past, I’ve just modded the appropriate files. It’s a very easy change:

    - In /system/cp/cp.home.php , around line 401 change entry_date to edit_date

    - In /system/cp/cp.publish.php , around line 6315(ish) change entry_date to edit_date in the four places as required, for entries on the ‘Edit’ tab to be listed by edit date.

And of course, back up, if it explodes I’m not responsible etc.. 😊

Any possibility of someone making that an extension? I’d like to be able to sort by either method.

Ooo…I second the wish for an extension for this!
