    so tell me if i wanted to create a website that housed user hardware compatibility based on a single operating system, would ci be the way to go? I am new to this but learn very well..

    CI is a framework, so you should be able to build anything upon it, it depends on the approach tat you use.

    Could you provide more details?

    well for instance a user would register, upon registration or in his/her profile they can update their hardware list and select from a drop down list how that specific hardware is working for their operating system. Together this information is gathered to generate stats for others - say if you want to know if your ati x850 card will work with ubuntu edgy, you could do a search for that and see how many users have this card working 100% with no problems and so on.. kinda hard to put in words whats in my head

    Yes is completely feasible with CI.

    Start with the User Guide, then watching the videos and tutorials, and you’ll have a base to begin your project.
