Hi to all. I wish to know if there is any doc arround to find the changes for the languages files of the new 1.6 version. I wish to translate the files but before I finished the 1.5 - 1.6 published…..

Any help will be much appreciated.

Sure, in the version update notes for each version, you will find a link to a text file that summarizes language changes.

Yes, i need to update/modify some of the Fr translation too, and 1.6 coming is the right time for this task.

Where can i find the whole .txt language reference ?

    also,

I’m translating some custom fields in the Publish Form, with their respective instructions, but somehow, changes in Fr are overriding my En files

    What am i missing ?

I looked at the translation utility under admin>utilities>translation

the files are all in English although i am switched on the French pack

But in the Cp i can see most of the page in Fr, excepted for all custom modified fields.

Publish field instructions are not localized, just like the field name and short name, they can have only one value, and be in one language.  You can certainly put instructions in both languages in there, however.

The translation utility presents the text in English to translate into another language.
