I’ve reviewed posts with similar issues, but I can’t seem to find the right answer. I apologize in advance (yes, I’m a newbie). I currently have Expression Engine 1.52 hosted on EngineHosting. I followed the instructions to upgrade version 1.52 to version 1.6 and received the following error when I tried accessing the site:

MySQL ERROR:

Error Number: 1146

Description: Table 'eh####a.exp_sites' doesn't exist

Query: SELECT es.* FROM exp_sites AS es WHERE es.site_id = '1'

I’m unable to access the update.php to execute the Update Wizard (http://www.mysite.com/system/update.php. Browser says

The requested URL /system/update.php was not found on this server.

What steps should I take next other than a deep breath?

I just wanted to add that I verified that update.php was successfully uploaded.

First I’m going to edit your post to remove the username information.

Second - that means what it says, you haven’t uploaded system/updates/ and system/update.php.  Upload those then visit update.php in your browser, you should see a link to begin the upgrade process.

Run that and this will clear right up. =)

I re-uploaded the files…and it is now working.
