    Hi,

Just noticed now the members of our editorial member group can’t save their entry with OPEN status. A changed that happened after updating yesterday EE from 1.5.2 to 1.6.
When I checked CP Home >  Admin >  Section Administration >  Status Groups > Default Status Group, It seems like nothing have happened with the group privilege. Any other places I should look for?

    Any suggestions?

Hi, Robert.  This may be related to these comments.  Can you check your member group’s permissions to make sure they have all of the appropriate access, as well?  Thank you.

Thanks Lisa. I have checked all the member groups permissions, and they have basically everything except for admin access.
I read the thread you sent me, but it seems like I have no other issues than changing the ‘Entry Status’ for this group. As super admin I can do it all.
BTW, the new EE 1.6 is great, keep up the good work!

    So here:

Default Site ›  Admin ›  Weblog Administration ›  Status Groups ›  Statuses ›  Edit Status

You have edited open and you have “yes” set for your member group?

Pardon the group names in the screenshot. =)

The same happen when a non-super_admin member edit an open status entry and saves it, it just close.

Hm, I created a new group and user for this group with these permissions and I cannot duplicate, Robert.  We did tighten down the submission routine to validate a few things we were not, so perhaps something got done wrong.  Any change you could send me a Private Message with FTP access to the server, Control Panel access for a user in this group, and exact instructions to duplicate?

    Just a follow up….

Robert’s weblog had no status group assigned to it.  When that happens, effectively no member group has permission to submit an entry as any status other than closed, except for SuperAdmins who can submit it as open as well.

    Hi Rees,
choose “Edit Sections” in the drop-down menu of the “Publish” tab, then klick on “Edit Groups” on the right. On the next screen, you can assign “Category Groups”, “Status Groups” and “Field Groups” four your section.

*If you didn´t rename “weblogs” into “sections” in the admin, it will probably be “Edit weblog” in the drop-down. Rest is the same.
