A quick question regarding the license. I’m hosting a development version of a client’s EE-based site on my development server, http://myclient.mydevserver.com. We’ve since launched their live site at http://www.myclient.com, and I’ve kept the development server setup for future changes.

I noticed this message when I logged into my EllisLab account the check on a license number:

“!! This license is in use on multiple domains, please make sure each use is authorized (using Multiple Site Manager, for example).”

I just need to know if this is outside of the license agreement, and if it is what I should do about it. I have very little control over my client’s live server environment. There’s a long story involved there but suffice it to say that wont be changing anytime soon. This makes it very convenient for me to host the dev site on my box and update their live site after testing there.

As far as I can tell, I’m allowed a development and production environment. I don’t see anything specified about the versions being hosted on the same domain. If anyone has any info on this it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.
