Yep. Im trying to build intra-“photostock” where user that has access, can see photos and “check” photos user is willing to download, and when all is done, user could download all checked photos as a single zip.
The hard part is that the “gallery” is going to be a set of many many channel entries and set to different categories.
I’ve been trying to think how to show only thumbnails per category (nothing else, no titles of entry, nothing but images added to entries). And around 20-40 thumbs per page top.
What I do not know yet, how it could be best to handle this “checking” part. Can it be done straight via category-listing page, or does it really have to be on a single entry page where image has been put, or how…
this “photostock” will not be selling any photos but is just a base directory for photos that user with access can use on their own publishing like blogs, news, flyers etc. I see that ExpressionEngine can do image-watermarks but havent yet tested how that works (I bet it works just fine with png-watermark file I have for to use for “dummy pics” that everyone can see before they ask for access).
The reason for trying to go without any addon is that Im using Publisher (Boldminded) and every time something goes wrong with it, its a no-go due to lack of support before uninstalling addons one by one and thats not the way I want to go and debug as a end user (im not a developer or dont have skills for own coding) stuff for paid addon…
