    Hello there,

I have been searching but haven’t been able to find a good way to accomplish securing my entire site using https. I’m on 2.9.2 and “https support” plugin is not seeming to work.

Also, at what point does EE build this in? With Google now giving a slight bump in rank for secured pages, it seems like this wouldn’t be a hard thing for EllisLabs to build in a “use https ... yes/no” in the admin general settings. It would be nice!

I definitely don’t want to do anything too hacky if possible but appreciate any help you all can provide.

    I’ll second this.
    Anyone got any simple solutions?

If it helps anyone, I did submit a ticket with EllisLabs and was given a really simple solution for my image issues. I still would like the “use http: or https:” option, but this was simple enough.

My problem here was that images being served from my EE were all coming through as http:// and I couldn’t seem to find a way to change that. Here’s how:

If you want your images coming from your file manager to load using https, go into your file upload preferences and edit each of your entries (preferences) to just be protocol agnostic (or “//” instead of http:// or https://) and that will cause your images to load without problem. I then was able to just change my “url to site root” to “https://” and that solved my problems.

I hope that helps someone. You still probably want to force https:// using .htaccess but that’s separate from my original issue.
