Hi guys,

I need to implement a forum on my website (using Zoo Visitors). Now all I read about the ExpressionEngine Discussion Module looks not so enticing to cough up $100 for it. It seems like everyone’s complaining (although here on Ellislab.com it looks okay—if this is the same software).

So my question is two fold:

1) Is the current Discussion Module still okay to work with, or is it truly crippled (I noticed alot of spam here on Ellislab’s own forums), anyone still using it without too much headaches?
2) Is there another forum software like phpbb/vanilla… anything a bit modern looking where some sort of single-signon functionality with the ExpressionEngine members is possible? So I don’t have to ask the members to register twice, that would look very poor.

That is something what I’ve waited in the first place from EllisLab, looked at it and now I’ll have to re-think if i pull back my Forum Module that i just deleted. Wish just that EllisLab could boost up a bit in-forum features. But Thanks for the tip! Nice work!
