Hello!

I’m using EE 2.9.2

I’m trying to create a very user-friendly site for members to be able to update their profiles and to have a list of the current site members that would link to the users’ profile page.

I’ve been playing with the “custom_profile_data” tag and have been unlucky this far.

Are either of these ideas possible?  I would appreciate any help that’s out there.

Have you tried the examples from the user guide?

I’m not usually one to jump immediately to third-party add-ons, but natively EE doesn’t handle membership info in the same templating approach as content.

I’d recommend a look at http://www.solspace.com/software/detail/user/ which puts you back in normal EE templates for doing member-profile related work, etc.

I second that plugin. Very easy to use and gives you a lot of other nice options as well.
