The config.php that comes with any of our EE purchases is empty (which seems to be an error).

This is the error we get when trying to install via admin.php:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /.../system/EllisLab/ExpressionEngine/Core/Autoloader.php on line 46

So we’re currently unable to install EE.
Which is not good, to say the least.

    The answer?

EE 2.9.0 raised the server requirements to PHP 5.3.10 (says user guide) or 5.2.4 (says server compatibility wizard) but the wizard we downloaded was not updated and only checked for 5+ or something. So it told us our server was fine even though it wasn’t.

    Hope this helps other people.
