    Hi stantondavid!

Looks like EE doesn’t play well with the “?” and “&” characters. Have you checked “/system/expressionengine/config/config.php” to see if it allows those two characters? If not check out that config php file and be sure to update “$config[‘permitted_uri_chars’]” to allow those two characters.

Here’s a reference to the fix:

    Stantondavid,

Where did you download the .zip file?

    Stantondavid,

Try a redownload of the .zip file. You need a valid config.php file and it sounds like your download was either corrupt or wasn’t downloaded fully. You’re always going to need a config.php file you shouldn’t even be able to access an admin page without one.

still blank on a re-download, try it yourself, see if you get the same but seems to me the packaged has a blank file in it=not very good

p.s i cant access the admin page, i can’t get through the install wizard.

    Stanton,

Take a look at this blog post. It looks to have the default vanilla config.php file you could try using. If that doesn’t work report back here.
