Sitemap not showing up.

I am working on creating a sitemap and robots.txt file for a site, (http://www.heiditheartist.ca/) however when I upload the file to the main directory it will not display and Google WebMasters will not pick it up saying it is in HTML format, however the file is not.

Any help would be amazing.
