    Hi there,

I’m working on a pretty complex website made in EE. THe big issue is that when working on my local MAMP environment everything works smoothly but when I deploy the site on mediatemple I have MANY, MANY problems.

    EXAMPLE PROBLEMS:

    1) I have some entries with lot of matrix childs (30/40) on local I can save but when on-line I get a 504 bad gateway error (I had to disable open_base_dir to make it work)

    2) I use datagrab to import entries - on local it works - when on-line I get a 504 bad gateway error

    3) on the front-end I have some “list” pages when i need to show all entries adn their childs (matrix fields) on those pages i often get an error (it doesn’t render)

EVERYTHING WORKS LOCALLY BUT NOT ON THE 1200 USD DV -

Something changed when I asked mediatemple to downgrade PHP from 5.4.13 to 5.3.28 but I still get errors

    here is the configuration:
    EE 2.7.3
    plugins installed:
    Assets 2.2.1
    Ce cache 1.10.1
    Channel Videos 3.1.3
    Cookie consent 1.1
    Datagrab 1.8.0
    Google maps for expressionengine 3.3.6
    Low search 3.1.4
    Structure 3.3.14
    Tagger 3.2.1
    Transcribe 1.6
    Wygwam 3.2.1

Hey! Did you ever get a response or resolution to this?
I’m considering MediaTemple for an EE site with the same plugins but your post got me worried.

    Thanks!
    Dan

Both MediaTemple and GoDaddy are famous for all kinds of different problems.
Our MediaTemple installation only allows uploads of up to 80 MB for example and they’re unwilling to change that.

If you’re free to choose another host, do it. 😉
