    Dear All,

I’m unable to figure out how to get the best of both worlds under one roof:

    Control Panel
Via the control panel, members would be able to post channel entries (New properties) however all options for private messaging and member list is missing.

    member/profile
Using this I’m able to gain access to private messages and membership list but I’m not able to post new entries.

Am I doing something wrong? How can I pull both together?

    Thanks in advance!

You’d probably have to build your own CP, using Solspace’s Member module or other member-related add-on.

    Thanks for the lead!

Is it possible to display / edit channel entries outside of the control panel? A logged in user would see all his entries + would be able to edit them.

It looks like Safecracker / Channel Form could accomplish this but I don’t see any info in the documentation how to edit existing entries. http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/modules/channel/channel_form/

Yea - the docs aren’t great. Maybe I need to add that to my list of possible tutorials.

IIRC if you load a channel form with a valid entry id or url_title it’ll come up in edit mode:

Thanks a lot! I will have a look into that.
