    Hello,

is there a way to alter the edit_date from within the publish form? For example a field like the Entry Date, or a way to not update the edit_date. For example have a checkbox like “this is a minor save, do not alter edit date”?

Is it possible? Do I need to alter the core files to achieve this? I’ve looked for an add-on as well, could not find any :(

    thanks!

I don’t believe there is. You’d probably need to write a custom fieldtpe to get the data from the database and show it on the publish page.

You could also try asking Nicholas who developers Zenbu, http://zenbustudio.com/software/zenbu , this may be a good feature to add to that module.

Thanks Rob! I will try to write a custom fieldtype. Cheers!
