    Greetings!

I have decided to take the plunge and purchase an upgraded license for my site, taking it from 1.6.4 to 2.7.2.  I followed the steps outlined here:
    http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/installation/upgrade_from_1.x.html

Everything seemed to go nicely until the script converted tables for exp_weblogs.  I received the popup that “The update script failed without returning an error.  Please contact tech-support.”

My PHP max_execution_time is set to 0 local and 30 master.

Has anyone else run into this issue and resolved it?

Please see the attached screen shot.  I am running the script in IE 10.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Can you try by first upgrading to EE v1.7.1 and then upgrade to v2.7.2. I always found fine from upgrading v1.7.1 to v2+.

    Hi Bhashkar,

Thanks for the suggestion. Where would I obtain the 1.7.1 upgrade installation? In my account that download is greyed out and there is no option to download it in the License Agreement as I have seen some do in other posts. I do notice that the script is upgrading me to 1.6.8 and then to 2.0. Is there a way that I can obtain the 1.7.x code?

Other troubleshooting steps I have tried:

    memory_limit is set to 256M

I have tried repairing and optimizing the database tables under Admin > Utilities > SQL Manager before running the update but that did not resolve the issue.

    Thanks!

    Brendan
