I’m experiencing a weird bug with Pagination on my client’s site. It used to be working perfectly fine, and I haven’t touched the Pagination code since I initially built the site, but recently, it just stopped working

The problem that’s happening is that no matter which pagination page I’m on (ie. P0, P8, P16, P24, etc) the content of the page is always the same 8 listings. I haven’t got a clue why this is happening, since my code used to be working perfectly fine, and I haven’t touched it.

I’m running EE 2.7.2 and Structure 3.3.13, both of which are the latest version. I’m actually wondering if EE isn’t the problem here, since I’ve noticed that a similar thing is happening right here on the Ellis Lab forums.

Take a look at this thread right here: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/215240/
Notice that when you try to go to Page 2 of that thread, the posts are all the same as the ones on Page 1. That’s exactly what’s happening on my site here: http://rgw.com/experience-rgw/news/

Does anyone have any idea what’s going on?

    Thanks in advance!

Have you got paginate=“yes” in the exp:channel:entries tag? Also are you using Freebie or zoo triggers with Structure to rewrite any of the URLs? You could also try turning on template debugging which will show what segments EE is reading.

Hey Ralph, thanks for your suggestions. Paginate=“yes” is not a valid parameter, according to the EE docs. I am using paginate=“bottom”.

I am using both Freebie and Zoo Triggers, but as I mentioned, the pagination used to be working perfectly fine with these plugins.

Are you using dynamic=“no” is your channel entries tag? That would cause pagination to stop working.

Yes, I am, but I’m not quite sure that that’s the issue, because I’ve been using dynamic=“no” since I first built the site, and it only broke recently.

I tried removing dynamic=“no” just to test things, and then everything completely broke, due to my custom url structure.

Can anyone else confirm whether or not dynamic=“no” can really no longer be used in conjunction with pagination? If so, when did this change, and why?

    Thanks!
