This is going to sound like a stupid question/problem but my templates are not showing up in the Template Manager. I can get to the templates through “Design” in the Menu Manager so they actually exist.

I have the Multi-Site Manager working and this problem is happening for two of the three sites.

    This is happening on 2.7.0.

    Welcome to the forums!

The breadcrumb in your screenshot looks a little off which suggest the CP CSS may not be correct, try uploading control panel css and javascript again to make sure no files are corrupt or missing:

    /themes/javascript
    /themes/cp_themes

Also check you’re running the latest version of MSM that’s compatible with 2.7

I have the same problem. I have tried what you suggested, but it has not resolved the issue. Screen capture attached.

This has been happening since I upgraded to 2.7.3. It happened the last two times I tried as well.

    Cheers

Are you using templates as files?

And can you reach individual templates for editing via the Design nav menu?

Ok a few things to try:

    1. make sure permissions are correct for your /templates folder
    2. Try resyncronising template
    3. Check the HTML for the missing items in the Template manager page, does the HTML show up but just not display?
    4. Do they show if you hide the sidebar?
    5. Double check that you uploaded the control panel files correctly (especially css and javascript files)

Thanks for the response Rob. Please find responses embedded below:

    1. make sure permissions are correct for your /templates folder (they are)
    2. Try resyncronising template (I did that and it made no difference)
    3. Check the HTML for the missing items in the Template manager page, does the HTML show up but just not display? (the HTML does appear to be there, but not visible)
    4. Do they show if you hide the sidebar? (the sidebar is not and does not open)
    5. Double check that you uploaded the control panel files correctly (especially css and javascript files) (when you say upload correctly what do you mean?)

    3. Check the HTML for the missing items in the Template manager page, does the HTML show up but just not display? (the HTML does appear to be there, but not visible)

That tells us the data is there on the page but something is preventing it from showing, I’d bet my boots that it’s a javascript issue (see item 5)

    4. Do they show if you hide the sidebar? (the sidebar is not and does not open)

The sidebar open/close is done via javascript, again it looks like javascript is missing

    5. Double check that you uploaded the control panel files correctly (especially css and javascript files) (when you say upload correctly what do you mean?)

Check that all files have been uploaded correctly to these folders:
    /themes/cp_themes
    /themes/javascript

Try reuploading all the files in both those folders from your 2.7.0 distribution so we know you have the correct CSS and Javascript file sin place.

Thanks for your help Rob. I did this before, as instructed in your response to ncsa-illinois and it made no difference. I have now copied the files again from the original zip folder downloaded from the EE website for version 2.7.3 (does it matter that it is not 2.7.0? I do not have a copy of this version) and uploaded them to the server, but it makes no difference. All the above problems still persist. I have installed EE 3 times now and this problem remains.

    Many thanks
    Gabe

OK celebrations and felicitations… it was an incorrect Theme Folder Path… The sites were moved from a different location on the server and so this had changed, but was not updated. Used the “<?php echo realpath(dirname(__FILE__)); ?>” method to work out the root and realised it was wrong… thought I would post the details for the benefits of others.

    Thanks for your help Rob.
