    Hi,

I’m considering using EE for a project that requires content in multple languages, 4 to start with further additions in the future.

I’ve done some research and narrowed it down to 3 options.

    1. Publisher - http://boldminded.com/add-ons/publisher
    2. Transcribe - http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/transcribe
    3. EE MSM

If you have any experience building multi-language sites using any of the methods above I’d appreciate it if you could let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks in advance.

    Wayne.

Hi, Deswork. As the developer of Publisher I think I’d have to recommend that 😉

Seriously though, if you have any questions let me know (support at boldminded dot com)

Whatever you go with, I would advise against MSM for multilingual sites, unless of course the content varies greatly between the 4 languages.

    I’ve used #2, and #3.

There is no one right answer. So much depends on how close the sites are to each other. When I did #3 each site had unique nav, unique content, and a dedicated maintenance team. The approach worked well.

    Thanks for the input guys,

The site structure and content will be fairly consistent across all languages, so I’ll do a bit more research on Publisher & Transcribe to see which one will better suit.

    Cheers

    Wayne.
