I feel silly, because I’m surly overlooking something here but, yet I do have a problem.
I have an admin group. This group can add files to a directory called, ‘Pages’.
I have a second member group called ‘Users’. I have allowed this group to view channels related to the file upload directory of ‘Pages’.
This group can also access, ‘CONTENT: File Manager’, under member group options. Lastly under file upload preferences; ‘Restrict file uploading to select member groups’. Well this user group is checked as ‘No’. As I don’t want this group TO upload files. My problem is not only can the user group not upload files, the group can not see them.
Summary:
I would like this ‘User’ group to view the files uploaded by the ‘Admin’ group, but not have permissions to upload any new files to that directory. Any idea’s, anything I’m overlooking or is this a known problem and if so does anyone have a plugin suggestion?
