    hi there
    I use a plug-in to handle form posts to a template. The template has an {exp:plugin_name:function_name} No problem in version 2.6.1, but in 2.7 I get the cryptic statement “The action you have requested is invalid.”
    I have no idea what to look for.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Hi Fred2341, can you see if adding this hidden input to your form solves your problem?

    <input type="hidden" name="XID" value="{XID_HASH}" />

    Super!
    That did the trick.

    Is this documented anywhere?

    Regards

    Fred

    Glad to hear! It’s only mentioned here:

    http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/templates/globals/single_variables.html#xid-hash

    Some things with XIDs did change in 2.7, I think we’re now requiring them on all POST requests when secure forms is on.
