Helping some friends run a blog.

They have a few recurring columns that are well-known enough in the community that they put the title in the headline every day.  I don’t think this is the best way to handle it, especially when one of them is daily.

They use categories and I have Low Variables installed.  I was thinking of making a variable that looks to see if an entry is associated with a specific category and the prepend the title with that category name.

    Category: Title.

Another they do the same, albeit less frequently.  However, it is strongly tied to another entry in another channel.  I don’t want to make a channel just for this column.  Is it a waste to add a relationship field for just this one column that will usually go unused?

I figure less waste than having two channels with essentially the same fields (I wish we could re-use these…).

Thinking outloud in case someone thinks there’s a better method(s).

Edit: I posted this in the wrong forum, moderator please help me out
