I was working on a clients EE site and all of a sudden I could not log into the CP. This is a new install from a few days ago, so running the latest version of EE. This is not MSM, but a single install. I’m running another client’s single install EE site with the same host and have not run into this problem.

I had a small issue with font-face not working, so I uploaded an updated typography CSS file, I cleared my cache, cookies, everything using firefox to see if it was a cache issue, and it was…the font issue got fixed. But then I could not log back into the control panel to continue working. Whenever I tried to log in, the page would tell me my username and pass was incorrect. So first I tried changing my pass - which didn’t work. Then, I did some searching on the forums and came across numerous fixes. I tried a few including updating my config file with suggested code fixes, but that did nothing. Then came across a fix that suggested I clear table for exp_password_lockout. I probably shouldn’t have messed with it since I am not a mySQL / phpMyAdmin expert by any means. Nor am I a php programer - so this is novice territory for me. Anyways now I’m getting a Server Error in Chrome, and a blank white page in firefox when I try logging in. I do get the login page when I go to the CP location however.

Hoping someone may have a fix for me to get those tables back - can I add them back manually and if so, how? Please let me know if you need any other information. Any other suggestions on how to get me back up and running without having to reinstall from scratch would be greatly appreciated! I ONLY deleted the exp_password_lockout info because I SWORE I did a backup for the db after working the other day, but it turned out to be a completely different ee site I’m working on that I backed up. I’ve done quite a bit of work today setting up channels, fields, and upload destinations. I’m not at panic mode yet…but getting there.

Thanks in advance for the help! 😊

*edit - one additional note: in phpMyAdmin under the exp_password_lockout I’m getting an error under structure tab that says : No index defined! - So I assume I deleted the wrong stuff and screwed it all up.

Someone suggested to me that I just open a support ticket, but the cost to open the ticket would be more than the time it will take me to reinstall and start over, so I’ve opted for that. You can close the thread. Thanks!
