    hi
i want to set Allow New Member Registrations? to No as i am getting a lot of membership spam. But when i click on No i get ‘The following path you submitted is not valid: /home/sites/XXXXXX/public_html/newsite/images/signature_attachments/’
and it shows the path before i moved the site to a new host.

But that was a year or more ago.

and CP Home ›  Admin ›  System Preferences ›  General Configuration paths for
URL to the root directory of your site
URL to your Control Panel index page
    URL to your “themes” folder
    Theme Folder Path
are all correct for the new hosts.

So where can i edit the path to turn off Membership registration?
or can i do it via phpmyadmin??
    thanks
    tom

CP Home ›  Admin ›  Members and Groups ›  Membership Preferences

Then scroll through the different choices in the pane on the left and set all of the paths correctly, then update. That hopefully will do it.

    thanks yes
thats what i did. each one has to be set before the next one can be set (if that makes sense).
then i was able to disable Membership.
    thanks
    tom
