I’m seeking to know if what I am trying to do is beyond the scope for multiple relationships in EE. We operate a website with a database of movie reviews (a little over 2,000). In a new re-design we are introducing short news stories that we want to appear at the bottom of one or more relevant reviews. The problem is these reviews could be pulled from anywhere in our review library. I haven’t even got to coding this in a template yet but I have added a relationship custom field to our “news” channel and set the limit to blank so it would return all of our movies. After a very long (80 sec) load time, the titles appear. I can select multiple titles quickly and all seems to work. However after saving and returning to the entry form most of my selections are not on the list on the right hand side. Experimenting, I limited the list to 100 and it works great.

Am I asking too much? Is there a better way to do this?? Thanks!

Hi again… I’m still in need of help with multiple relationships (please see previous post). Due to the long time it takes to load all of our entries I have resorted to limiting entries to 500 unless we are relating to an older title in our database. If that’s the case, I have been temporarily removing the limit so we can make occasional entries that require us to “dig” into earlier entries. But today I’m discovering even this “trick” isn’t working. When I go back to check entires that reference older titles the relationship is missing. Or, in the case of one entry referencing a movie trilogy, I can only get it to relate to two titles. As soon as I add a third, one disappears.

I’m running EE 2.6.1. I’d appreciate some input into this. Thanks!
