Anyone getting any support from CartThrob?

    Hi,

We recently purchased CartThrob Pro and the Subscriptions addon for a project but the weak documentation is making things difficult with setting up the subscriptions. I’ve tried getting support through:

    1) their forum,
    2) the support system within CartThrob,
    3) the contact form on their website and
    4) messaging them on Twitter.

I’ve haven’t had one reply in over three weeks!

Has anyone heard from them at all? I’m wanting my money back under their 30-day policy, but am worried I won’t be getting it because they aren’t in business anymore.

    Thanks,
    Clive

I’ve had issues as well. You may want to hit them on twitter until they respond. I won’t be using Cartthrob anymore because of the same issues. I’ve moved on to Espresso Store which is really nice.

Same problem here. Posted on one (serious) issue re Affiliator a month ago and no response to around 5 posts and 3 emails.

Again - another issue - last week. No answer to forum post and no answer to mails asking why. Not really acceptable.

Same here. Had multiple issues with CT and posted on their forums, but haven’t heard from them. They used to be really responsive and great with their support, but in the past year, it seems like they’ve pretty much ignored their customers. Very disappointed.

I have a client lined up for CT - definitely looking for an alternative now due to this. Will check out Espresso…

I have an issue with setup at moment. I did get a quick reply suggesting that my issue is with EE not CartThrob.  However I have replied to them again as it only happens when I install CartThrob.

Store is brilliant, though it’s a lot more limited. I really needed the subscriptions, so had to go with CartThrob. After the poor (or, lack of) support, I’m currently using the EE Simple Commerce module to do what I was after but really need something more flexible. I haven’t given up on Cartthrob totally - I’m just hoping they sort out the support.

    I’m loving Membrr for subscriptions.

Tarquin, have you used Membrr recently? I had originally intended to use that before Cartthrob but was put off by the last reviews on Devotee criticising their support.

Clive, I use it all the time but have not needed support since the new team took over so can’t say. When Brock was in the driving seat support was stellar though and I think he might still be on board in some capacity?

So it’s still under development and plays nicely with modern versions of EE? If so, I should look into it again.

Yes, the last upgrade was January I think. I like it a lot for what we’re doing but I suppose it depends on how much of a fit it is for you.

Plays fine with all versions for sure up to 2.5….can’t really tell with 2.6 now as am having a massive problem with the EE update as described here on the forums so can’t really test it.

When we bought it there was a 30-day refund deal - not sure if there still is.
