    Hey everyone,

I have been using EE for over 4 years now. I just maintain a personal blog. I picked EE a few years back because it is paid-support. I didn’t want to use WP since there is no official support and hence didn’t mind the money.

A few days back, when I visited the EE site, I noticed how everything has changed and there is no more support unless you pay a lot. I am not a web expert or do this for a living and I usually have questions when I change something or want to change something on my site.

I was wondering should I consider changing to WP or something similar? i see a lot of questions in the forum being unanswered. And I can forsee myself trying to upgrade and messing up something or an unexpected error popping up one-day and the whole site crashing down.

    Thank you.

It’s all about money now-a-days. I have wasted over 5 years and then we get this new path that EL is going. Only thing is: minor customer days are over…

One of the usual arguments that i used to read about why EE is better is the support since it is paid. And how word press and such do not guarantee a support unless someone in the community feels like answering your question.

Honestly, i am surprised by the lack of activity in the forums lately. Did a lot of people stop using EE or what? Even personal forums out there under Miscellaneous section gets lot more traffic and replies than here. Is it most EE users are designers and enterrpise that they don’t have time?
