My client wants to set up an online learning system where they can add course content. The only problem is that the course content comes in all sorts of different formats: html5 quizzes, videos, flash animations, Adobe Captivate files and more.

Is there any way of allowing the content administrators to add normal text content to EE channels as well as embedding all these other content types directly from files stored on the server?

If we can add them as files (through a plugin like Matrix maybe?) how can we ensure they display in the page correctly rather than just showing as linked files (like when you upload PDF’s)?

I know EE pretty well but this has stumped me a little!

Any help would be gratefully received.

    Cheers
    Paul

You could show external content in an iframe, create a custom field for the url of the content, then add the template tag:

    <iframe src="{my_custom_field}"></iframe>
