Where Are the Extensions, Plugins and Modules?

    Hi All:

Just learning EE2 from a book (EE2 A Quick Start Guide), and there are links to repos for extensions, plugins and modules; but these are now redirected to the home page. I’ve been hunting around for some time, and can’t find anything. Has EllisLab removed these repos? Have they gone to some other website? I’m surprised there isn’t at least a redirect to them.

    Thanks for your help,
    - AAA

EllisLab 1st party Addons are here

MOst third party Addons are available at devot:ee

And if you start looking for more assistance than the forums here provide, check out StackExchange.

Thanks for the response, wildrock. Seems unwise to allow relevant content to migrate off to a third-party website, no? Makes me wonder about Ellislab’s commitment to the product.

In any case, thanks for the pointers.

Actually, Devot:ee is doing a great job with third party addons, including vendor support forums, and providing shopping carts, version management, downloads, etc. EllisLab could do a better job with their first party addons, but that’s another story.

Devot:ee is a wonderful site that has all relevant add ons available. Its just mind boggling that there is no clear link on the Ellislab site to such a vital resource.

Yes, same could be said about the stackexchange forum for EE. New users are totally left in the dark about this if you leave it up to Ellislab, instead they are confronted with Ellislab’s semi-dead community support forum here.
