    Hi,

Client raised this question and i’d no noticed before.

They tired up load a file with a filename that already exists. The message says:

A file with that filename already exists. You can either choose a new name and the file will be renamed, or you can use the same name and the existing file will be overwritten.

But there’s no option to use the same name.

Anyone else noticed this? Is it a bug or an oversight?

    Cheers

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

as you can see in your attachments:

you can either chosses a new name and the file will be renamed, or you can use the same name and the exisiting file will be overwritten.

and this will explain every thing, if you don’t change the name this will write over the exsist file.

    Regards,

    Ahmad saad.

The “Rename File” button should just be named “Submit”.

And also it does not work for me. When I hit “Rename File” the modal box does not go away and if I check my upload folder by FTP there’s just a new file named “temp_file_Untitled1.pdf” that contains the NEW file I was trying to upload over the OLD file named “Untitled1.pdf” which remains the same.

My folder is set to 777.
    EE version 2.4.0

    Regards,

    David.
