It’s my first time posting here. I’m glad to find such an active forum and I hope maybe I can get some feedback to help. Currently I’m helping an organization redesign their site. Their previous site was create by someone else using ExpressionEngine v 1.5.2. The site has never been upgraded since it was created in 2004 or 2005. The host is on a windows ASP/ASP.NET 1.1 plan which goes without saying is an old version plan.
I found out after talking to tech support which is through Crystal Tech (now Newtek) hosting that they will save money by upgrading to the latest windows version but it may affect the site but they are not sure. Does anyone have any experience in this area with upgrades. Would a windows plan upgrade affect the site? Another reason for the upgrade is that I’m going to build a new site using a different php CMS and it would be best to have a newer windows plan for this. Thanks for any help!
