    I installed EE 2.5.5 and MSM 2.1.4.  We have 10 sites licensed through MSM.  All of the previous 9 sites are working and we can log into the EE Control Panel.

    The new site is returning this:

    “An Error Was Encountered
    Site Error: Unable to Load Site Preferences; No Preferences Found”

    I’ve doubled checked the site’s index.php file and it looks correct.

    I cleared the EE cache before the upgrade and have cleared the browser cache.  No luck.

    What else may be causing this?

    Thanks

    Hi Chris,

    Can you check the file config.php located within “expressionengine\config\” having proper config variables? Also, check for database.php having proper database connections.

    Best Regards,

    both files look ok.  i don’t think the CP and other 9 sites would work if they weren’t, right?

    yes, you might check $assign_to_config is being set properly within the index.php of that site:

    as it should have correct value for followings:

    $assign_to_config['site_name'] = 'domain2_short_name';
    $assign_to_config['cp_url']    = 'http://domain2.com/admin.php';
    $assign_to_config['site_url']  = 'http://domain2.com';

    Best Regards,
