“The username you submitted was not found in the database” - we’ve tried two different logins with no success.

    I’m running 1.6.2.

The hosting account had a server issue and after that I’ve not been able to log in. Unfortunately this was weeks ago now - maybe 7? - anyway, advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Can I restore something?

I have checked the database for members and in fact all the members are there. Especially the two admins I need to log in. Well, I’m the super admin if that’s what you call it.

Also the site works fine, but we can’t get in to make any changes!

1.5.12 update - Strangely after about 2 months of not being able to access this site, it’s working today. I didn’t do anything differently. So I’m grateful and I put this thread to rest. 😊

I am encountering this exact same issue.  My hosting provider had some sort of issue with their database, site was offline a couple of hours due to database issues, then when it came back I can’t login using my super admin account.  The account is still there in the database, but just can’t login.

Is it some sort of corruption problem with the database?  Any diagnostics I can run to assess this?

If anyone could provide any insight into this problem I would be most grateful.

I’m looking at the DB through phpMyAdmin, and it looks like the only user data I’ve found is .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Would all my admin members be in the exp_members table?

PS that email appears to be a spammer.
