Hi, my apologises if this has been answered previously but can custom member fields be called separately, rather then using {custom_profile_fields}. I’ve tried just adding a single variable taking the fieldname, but doesn’t seem to produce anything.

I know there are third party plugins out there.

Hi Michael,

By default EE only gives you access to those fields via {exp:member:custom_profile_data}...{/exp:member:custom_profile_data} or you could also do it via the {exp:query}...{/exp:query} tag if you need to have a custom list. Here is the link to the custom_profile_data documentation:

My apologies but just another question.

Would this also work on the update profile form? Displaying custom fields which can be edited and saved to the members profile? I have tried but doesn’t seem to save any amendments made to the custom fields
