We have some really long category lists, some of which are 60+ items. We’re setting up a tab and showing them there for admins to pick from so it doesn’t clutter the long channel entry any more than needed, but even on their own they’re really really long…...with a TON of empty real estate to the right of the screen in the admin interface.

Is there any way to better use the screen real estate to show these a bit better? Not sure, but thought I’d ask. Never really tried to hack the admin interface like that, but if it’s a reasonably simple solution, I’d be willing to give it a try. Whatever makes working in the admin a more enjoyable experience for my client(s). 😊

    Hey bcads,

    Thank you for your question.

One thought, with a combo of Publish Layouts and this handy field-type you can “split categories” and avoid the long list of check-boxes.

You might also look into Zenbu and Flexible Admin which will allow you to make changes to the Control Panel. That may get you closer to what you are looking to do.

    Cheers,
