Forgot Password not working

    When I click “forgot password” on the login page i get an error that says “Unable to send email at this time.”  What could be wrong?

    Hey DelarisLLC,

    This sounds like the email service on your server might not be configured or running at the moment.

    Can you check with your hosting provider to see if that is the case.

    I set up an email account to use for the password recovery thing in gmail, is there a certain setting i should be aware of with either EE or gmail to get this working?  Thank you!

    Hey DelarisLLC,

    Not really. Just make sure the settings are correct. In essence that is what the error is telling you, it cannot send the email the way the settings are right now.

    And in EE the email settings are what I need to look at?  Or is there another settings place I need to look?

    One thing to check before I request a log in. 😊

    In your ExpressionEngine settings Admin > Email Config do you have a return email and webmaster name set?
