Does anyone know of a good rescource to get Ajax/JQuery working in EE?

I plan on having a search query result page with the other results on the page below, such that if you click one of the other results the information above the fold will change.

    E.g.

    Item1
    [item1 info][item1 image][item1 pdf link]
    Other results (A heading)
    [Item1][Item2][Item3][Item4]

AJAX - If they click [Item3] this happens
    Item3
    [item3 info][item3 image][item3 pdf link]
    Other results (A heading)
    [Item1][Item2][Item3][Item4]

I believe a plugin to do this would save alot of users alot of time, if it has not already been built.

Also I was wondering if this was better suited to having the query send through via the GET Method, but I might have too many queries to put in the url. The limit is 6 sections in the url.

    Hi jazmel,

Thanks for asking your question here on the Forums.

There isn’t anything special about ExpressionEngine that changes what you know about AJAX and jQuery.

Think about it like this - Item 3 is a link to an ExpressionEngine template URL. That template, like any other EE template has tags that work with the URI request to pull information. It’s just that the request came asynchronously and EE will process the template and send the output back as a response to the AJAX call. Place the response in the Item Detail area.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Cheers,
