This question may be related to a resolved thread.
I assume it’s a caching issue, but there’s a cache folder in system/expressionengine and it’s set to 777.
I have debugging turned on and I get this:
Controller Execution Time ( Ee / Index ) 40.6439
Yikes. The site is hosted on enginehosting.

So it looks like it’s just enginehosting having a lot of db problems today.
Lots of people upset on Twitter.
