I have several accounts on EngineHosting.com.  They had an outage today that impacted all of my accounts for three hours, and two of my accounts are still experiencing problems with the EE Control Panel.  The two accounts that still aren’t working are behaving as follows:

    - Both are very close in EH account number.
    - Both are running EE 2.5.3.
    - I can login to my EH CP, no problem.
    - I can login to my MySQL Admin, no problem.
    - I can login to my SFTP server, no problem.
    - Websites work, no problem.

==> However, when I login to EE CP none of the links work and after a few clicks I am logged out.  Control panel access is limited to login success with nothing else working.  My first instinct is to reinstall EE, but I would rather not do that if there is some another less drastic fix.

Can someone please help me with this issue, it would be greatly appreciated?

As soon as I log in, and hit refresh on my browser or any of the menu items, it goes back to login screen.  Also, the control panel menu items don’t drop down when you click them.  It’s like the page isn’t being rendered fully.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what I should do here?

Well, I was viewing page source in safari…to see if the CP menu items were there in HTML but not being rendered because of a missing CSS or JS file.  So, I clicked on a few of the submenu links and go a page with an error.  However, when I returned to the CP, it was working!!!  Is there some sort of caching going on that I re-started manually by clicking one of the links in the source?  Would love to know what happened here…

Hrm- it definitely sounds like a cache issue (and I’m glad it fixed itself because it was WEIRD).  But it’s not something EE should have been doing.  The error fixing things almost sounds like an obscure server issue- I have, on rare occasion, had a server refuse to serve a fresh page until I caused a PHP error.  But I’ve never seen it on EH.  So basically?  It was very weird and I’d bet money a caching issue.  But a weird one.  EH is load balanced, so maybe something related to that?
