This question may be related to a resolved thread.

I was glad that someone else asked a similar question above but I have a slightly different need.

I have a specific channel of entries and I will be creating member accounts for different businesses to edit their directory listing through the control panel. However, I’d like each business to only see photographs that they have uploaded when they add them to their own entries within the control panel.

    Hi,

Try DevDemon’s Channel Images. It will let you display just the images that each user uploads.

    Hey there doubleplusgood,

Jae has some great advice for displaying just the images that each user uploads.

There is no way in ExpressionEngine to block image view in the file manager to just one user. You would need to create an upload destination for each unique user and so on. Not a great solution at all.

Let us know if Channel Images works for you.

    Cheers,

The solution here is to use Solspace User and don’t let users work with CP at all—instead, create a SAFE form with User/Safecracker and use Channel Images to let him/her choose and work with the images.

    Hi,

You can achieve member specific upload directories functionality by using together 2 add-ons: Upload Rights and Subdir Upload.

    Hey there Laisvunas,

Thanks for chiming in with your Add-Ons. Those are nice, did not know about them.

What do you think doubleplusgood? There is a price involved, but it looks like you would be able to accomplish your task.

    Cheers,
