Hi, we are not tech savy so we please need detailed info to do the following:

One of our website was originally developed with EE1. Now it has been changed to a new platform oriented to non profit organizations looking to grow the fundraising and donations.

As you can see here: http://174.132.115.253/~wizo120/index.php, the
site is not working properly for us to review what we had before.

    Questions/options:
    - How can we make it work on the current shared address 174.132.115.253/~wizo120/index.php?
    - How can we make it work on a subdomain like oldeesite.wizofl.org?
    - How do we make it work on a different domain like http://www.oldwizofl.org?

    Thank you!!!

    Hey there andnand,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the ExpressionEngine forums! Glad to have you.

It looks like you just need to check your paths in the Control Panel. It’s likley that your image paths are just incorrect.

AS far as changing your domain to a subdomain or going to the root of your web folder, you just need to move files around and make sure the server is setup correctly. This guide will be a real help as you figure out which route to take. I would work close with your server admin to make sure you get your paths correct.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

    Cheers,

Shane, thank you for your time and service.

That guide is for EE2, does it apply to EE1, the files are quiet the same?

Can you please give me an example of the paths for the three scenarios?, sorry we dont have a server admin, we use shared domain services.

I am surprised there are no screencasts with these simple (but difficult for us) tasks.

    Cheers,

    Andrew

    Hey there Andrew,

The guide should work pretty much the same, just some of the folders will be different.

As far as the paths, it really depends on the configuration of your server and where the paths are. The reason there are not tutorials is because this is a server heavy task and when you install ExpressionEngine, these paths are detected and added automatically.

To get an idea of paths, check your FTP client and see where it is that you go to get to the different directories. That will give you paths, the urls are the same that you use in the Control Panel.

    Cheers,

    Hey Andrew,

I would love to help you with this but we do not offer such services. I can point you to the ExpressionEngine professionals in our Pro Network.

If you want I can log in and see if I can make your current install work, but I would not be setting up the other two options, just making sure your current install can be corrected.

    Cheers,

We tried sending you a PM with the info needed and got this message back:
“The inboxes for the following members are currently full, and to send this message you must remove them from your Recipients or CC fields: Shane Eckert”

Please let us know how to follow up. Thank you for your time and service,

    Hi Andres,

EllisLab Staff have PMs disabled because it is an insecure means of providing sensitive information and it disrupts the support flow. I’ll be sending you an email requesting more details!

    Cheers,
